| Minimum Qualifications: | - In-depth knowledge of children’s services.
- Experience in library programming.
- Thorough knowledge of electronic library resources.
- Minimum five years of professional library experience.
- With a minimum of two years as head of a children’s department.

| Responsibilities: | - Manages staff of 14 (8 FTE, 4 FT) in providing children’s services and coordinating programs and activities for the entire library.
- Reports to the library director and participates as a member of the management team.
- Supervises provision of children’s reference, reader’s advisory and early literacy services.
- Coordinates library meeting room reservations, display case reservations and library art displays.

| Available Hours: | 10 hours per week (combination of evening and daytime hours and average of one weekend per month.) |

| Minimum Qualifications: | - LTA certificate or associate’s certificate, or B.S./B.A. from accredited college.
- Excellent adult and youth reference and public service skills.
- Knowledge of various electronic information resources, including the internet.

- Teach public to use internet and WNPL print and electronic resources

- Straighten book shelves and restocks materials on displays.
- Sort materials in numerical and alphabetical order.
- Work with conveyor/sorter system for returned library items.
